My first game ever!

Finally, after weeks of procrastinating. Yippee!

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, and I'm just pressing every button I see and filling every form I can grasp. Which I think are over, the forms I mean.

It's nothing special, obviously, but it's a start nonetheless. So far, I can't even find my game by searching for it, which is shocking considering the totally unique name I gave it. But I don't really know how this stuff works, as I just stated. Maybe my page isn't "standard" enough or something? Or my game's too obscure and unknown? Well, whatever, the important thing is that this page exists and I managed to make the game.

As for the game itself, guess what it's about? I bet you can't! Why, it's about shooting, of course! Surprised? I know.

What are we shooting? Beats me! Why are we shooting them? Because they're moving! As you can guess, story isn't this game's main selling point, but it's not really supposed to. It's just pure gameplay I made to understand the engine, which is construct 2, by the way. Just like the olden days!

The game starts by throwing you into some sort of abstract abyss, and an obligatory tutorial for this game's super advanced mechanics. Which consists of pointing your cursor to aim, left-clicking to shoot, and pressing WASD (or arrow) keys to move. The tutorial is run by some omnipresent narrator, I guess? Or maybe it's just another guy in the far back shouting. Either way, something unforeseen happens, which prompts a battle. I've gone out of my way to implement five different reactions based on your kills at the end of the battle. You're then presented with the very fabulous title screen, and then the actual game. The enemies get "smarter" the more you kill, able to make sharper turns, have increased speed, and spawn more frequently, with their "intelligence" maxing out after 50 kills. The game, as of yet, is soundless. That's because I don't know how to make sounds, and I don't want to use any sort of external assets. I made everything myself, excluding the font and engine, obviously. Oh, the game doesn't have any kind of saving feature, too! So you have to go through the tutorial every time. But it's not that long, and the game doesn't have anything to save anyway, other than your highscore. Also did I tell you that there are...

Power-Ups!

That's right! There are five different Power-Ups that you can get. Whenever you kill an enemy, there's a 10% chance for them to drop a Power-Up, which could be any of the five. But they're temporary, and last only 30 seconds! Which I believe to be a decent enough time considering the rarity. They only spawn after the tutorial. The five Power-Ups are:

Shotgun Shotgun.

The first I added and my favorite. It makes you shoot three bullets at once!

Submachine Submachine.

The second. Hold down the left mouse button and shoot bullets automatically, and fast!

 Super Bullet Super Bullet.

The third. Shoot big, indestructible bullets the size of enemies! Slower than other bullets.

 Bouncy Bouncy.

The fourth. Shoot bullets that don't get destroyed and bounce off enemies instead. Honestly the most useless. Can't see much from the screenshot.

Spread Spread.

The last, both in implementation and my preference. Shoot Bullets that explode into four other bullets on impact. This one was the most annoying to add.

And, that's all, really. Maybe I'll update the game later to add more content, or something.
Anyway, thanks for reading, peace!
